What audience have I been imagining so far?
Readings-
This week, we had multiple readings about audience, digitalization and counterpublics. I usually find a thesis question I can keep in mind after reading a couple of paragraphs. This helps me understand better as my brain will be replaying that question in order to find answers to it and understand the readings better. This question can change as I read more but usually leaves me with a good idea of what the readings were about. The questions I found/made from this week’s readings were
What is a public (audience)? Will the content change if someone else were to enter “the room”? Is it worth digitalizing old texts? Significance of having physical records of text and libraries, etc.
Website updates-
The purpose of my website aims to explore the cutting-edge features, design elements, and functionalities that define the latest releases. Since the start, my audience has played a pivotal role in shaping both my design and editorial decisions to ensure a tailored and engaging experience for tech enthusiasts, early adopters, and curious minds, of any age.

From the outset, my envisioned audience comprises individuals who possess a keen interest in the latest advancements in smartphone technology. These tech individuals are not just consumers but enthusiasts who like reading about insights into the newest devices. Keeping this audience profile in mind, my design decisions prioritize a clean and intuitive layout that gives easy navigation through detailed analyses and comparisons.
Editorial Decisions:
To cater to the tastes and accessibility of my audience, my editorial decisions have revolved around presenting a mix of informative content and engaging storytelling. This includes my hands-on experiences, images and reviews from other trusted sources. I try to keep in mind that readers seek more than just specifications; they seek out information that unfolds the significance and impact of each step. As a result, I structured my content to seamlessly blend technical details with real-world applications (games, apps, portability). This provides a comprehensive understanding of how these new phones can help us and simplify daily life.
Plan for the coming weeks-
Recognizing that the audience often faces the challenging decision of choosing between multiple options, I am going to start incorporating detailed comparative analyses. By highlighting the strengths and weaknesses of different smartphones, the readers can make informed decisions based on their unique preferences and priorities.
